2007 - Still alive

"Talk like a pirate"-day

So this 19th september I have celebrated the Talk like a pirate"-day with some jolly talk and good mood.

And now 15 minutes from that the day is about to end, I will say my last pirate-word for this years TLaP-day. But don't worry, it'll be more pirate days to come.

Almost there...

Well, there is no chance in hell I'm gonna get my blog up and running by today as I'd hoped. But I scratched forth the database-system - gonna start quite simple (What features will be left as a surprise) and keep building as the time goes...

Page basics up too, well, It's almost anyway - megabasic template is up and running and what has to be built is the back-end solution as well as a few things on the display page such as display entry and comment possibility. It's not too hard but some form of validation service has to be there as well as some basic formatting.

It's not the building

It's the planning that takes time, so far I've spent 10 hours on planning the structure of the new blog, and still have quite a lot to lay out... Hell! It's annoying it have to take such time...

Sometimes I just want to set up my own server, install WordPress, TextPattern, TypePad or Movable Type... But there's a few problems there. First, I'm not the head of the family when it comes to the network - I have most knowledge but get favored down when it comes to desicions... Second - We're working by a oldschool router meaning we have no control over what ports being used...

And the site would pretty quite slow if it's on my home computer, I wonder if I should get a "no name"-hosting contract for solely this matter? There's probably quite a lot cheap places where you get most out of the invested money... Any Ideas?

Late night

So it's a late night again in front of the computer, full of thoughts and wonders. I wonder who reads the lines and the letters that is being posted here?

Spambots? Nah, they are just checking up certain keywords...

New Old addiction

Well, those of you remember my last obsession is going to find that I have slipped down the same hole - again.


This time it is for I actually have the CD at home, now being visible on the shelf. As the music is low, pretty floating I feel the music is what I would say average (But there is sad songs on it - No wonder it is entitled "It's too bad you're leaving") I find it I enjoy the cover more than the music.
The cover is a bit plastic - much more than I expected since I thought this would be in somewhere close to corrugated cardboard or a pasteboard. So even if I am slightly disappointed, the art on this one keep me happy enough not to return it. It makes a nice addition on the shelf ;-).
